GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy typically involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time. Siouxland Mental Health Center offers a wide range of group therapy for our clients.
Some of the most common types of group therapy include:

Cognitive-behavioral groups centers on identifying and changing inaccurate or distorted thinking patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses

Interpersonal groups focus on your interpersonal relationships and social interactions. This could include how much support you have from others and how these relationships impact your mental health.

Skill development groups- focus on improving social skills in people with mental health disorders or developmental disabilities.

Psychoeducational groups focus on educating clients about their disorders and ways of coping using the principles of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT)
