There has been alot of exciting things happening at Siouxland Mental Health Center (SMHC) this summer. SMHC was the recipent of the Tyson Summer Internship Program sponsored by Tyson Foods and Iowa Campus Compact. The goal for this summer program was to have a marketing intern to help get our mission out to the community. We were excited to hire Erin on to help SMHC achieve these goals. If you haven’t visited our social media outlets lately, I suggest you do. Erin didn’t just read our mission, she embraced our mission and it definitely shows in her work. Mental illness is a topic that many people want to over look and not talk about, but now people are.
Having the opportunity to work with the Tyson Summer Internship Program allowed SMHC to connect with more people. As a result of this program we have been able to make more of a difference with our patients and the community. The work that Erin did this summer will have a lasting impact on the mental health community in Siouxland. Again, thank you to Tyson Foods and Iowa Campus Compact for giving SMHC the opportunity to make a difference.
